2018 FORD ECOSPORT
Let’s go ahead and start this blog off with a BANG and get the most important peace of information out there! Are you ready? The Ford EcoSport is going to be the most affordable SUV option that Ford has to offer. It is estimated that the starting MSRP will be $20,000 or less!
It seems that Ford is finally getting into the ring with the other subcompact crossovers with addition of the new 2018 Ford EcoSport. This vehicle has been around for Ford since 2003 in Brazil, but is now getting an interior and exterior redesign here in the U.S. It looks like an escape but is roughly the size of a Nissan Juke. The length of the vehicle can be lengthened with the option of the spare tire on the back which adds a sportier look.
The trim levels that will be offered for the EcoSport are S, SE, SES, and Titanium. The inside will contain an 8 inch touch screen with the latest Ford Sync 3 software and other technology packages. The Titanium models boast a 675-watt B&O Play audio system with 10 speakers.
The EcoSport will be offered with two powertrains: a 1.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost inline-three engine paired with front-wheel drive and a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder with all-wheel drive. Ford won’t announce the final output figures until it’s closer to launch time, but you can likely expect somewhere around 120 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque for the 1.0-liter model and 140 horses and 140 lb-ft for 2.0-liter versions.
Ford has so many exciting products that will be released in the next few years. Do your research and see if any of them are the perfect vehicle for you.
